Brian Mehling, M.D., world-renowned stem cell researcher, board-certified orthopedic trauma surgeon, and founder of Blue Horizon International (BHI), will be attending The 46th Annual World Economic Forum (WEF) in DAVOS from January 19-24. This will be Dr. Mehling’s fourth year attending the global conference.

The theme of this year’s forum is “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution” and discussions will centralize around how it will transform various industry sectors such as, health, mobility, financial services and education. Dr. Mehling will be available onsite to share insights on the current and upcoming breakthroughs within the stem cells arena, as pertinent to the technology revolution.

“Stem cell therapies are, without a doubt, the future of medicine. I believe they will become the preferred substitutes for many surgical, pharmacological, and rehabilitative medical services,” shared Dr. Mehling. “The importance of research and the key direction that it will take will truly shape the way patients with chronic conditions, disorders, and acute diseases are treated.”

WEF began as a forum to generate ideas and solutions to help shape the global, regional, and industry agendas. The event attracts top-level business leaders from all over the world. Attendees include C-suite executives from corporations, heads of state and government, leaders of international organizations, civil society and religious organizations, academia, the media and the arts. The event’s program is comprised of more than 250 sessions, 100 of which will be available across the globe through a live webcast.

In advance of attending WEF this year, on January 18, Dr. Mehling will serve as a keynote speaker at Stem Cell Therapies and Disease Management, a cellular and regenerative medical conference organized by BHI, Nadacia Blue Horizon and its local partner, Medirex Group Academy, in Bratislava, Slovakia. Dr. Mehling will address approximately 150 physicians and discuss the core topic of Clinical Applications of mesenchymal stem cells.
