Katarina Novakova

Katarina Novakova

President, BHI Slovakia

Katarina Novakova was born and raised in former Czechoslovakia (now Slovakia).  She holds a Master’s Degree in Economics, with a focus in Business Management from University of Economics in Bratislava.

She is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak, and has a basic understanding of the Polish language. Her passion for traveling and learning about new cultures brought her to New York City, where she has lived for more than 10 years.

Ms. Novakova  is actively involved in the Slovak community in New York. She also volunteers for Tim Tebow Foundation, Catholic Charities of New York, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital and other organizations focused on helping children and adults  in need. In addition, she serves as a Trustee in the United Parish of St. John Nepomucene, St. Frances Cabrini and St. John the Martyr in New York City.

 

In March 2014, Ms. Novakova was the recipient of the Achievement Award for her extraordinary achievements and community empowerment and presented with a plaque from the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York City, in the presence of Slovak Consul General, other diplomats and a US Congress Representative.

In June 2018, Ms. Novakova have been nominated for a Young Global Leader for the Class of 2019.  The World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Forum of Young Global Leaders is a sought-after peer network of the most exceptional leaders from politics, business, civil society, academia, and arts and culture across seven geographic regions.

 

Ms. Novakova joined the Blue Horizon International team as dedicated professional, who strives to bring integrity, loyalty, passion and joy to every aspect of her professional and personal life.

She currently serves as a President of Blue Horizon International a.s. (BHI Slovakia), and a Director of Relations of the Blue Horizon Charitable Foundation and BHI Therapeutic Sciences.
